Vintage Native American/Ojibwe 4.25 Beaded Barrette/Glass Beads On Deerskin
Beautiful Ojibwe/Great Lakes beaded barrette. Vintage from Summer 1994 Great Lakes PowWow season either Lac Courte Oreilles in Wisconsin or Saginaw Chippewa Pow Wow in Mt. Traditional design using glass seed beads; the purple beads-I believe this color is called "Peacock"- are high end faceted that feature sparkles of varying shades of purple and flashes of green notes in the light; it's set against a background of pale lavender/orchid colored non-faceted beads so that the Peacock beads stand out. Constructed on a sturdy foundation, the stitches are tight and the barrette has a deerskin backing and a new 3 Goody Stay Tight barrette. Great for Pow Wow season or a Giveaway Gift for someone special. This beautiful barrette has been cherished and well-cared for through the years and will hold up for many more to come.
