Here we have an estate find. Old native American beaded jar. The beads are small, very small.

It is about 6 1/2 inch tall, 10 inch around at it's widest part. The jar is ribbed inside like an old pickle jar, hard to say what it was originally used for. It is beaded on old linen, and you can see the thread stitches inside.. Some bead loss at the mouth of the jar, which is called edge beading. Other than that it is Solid.

The many many hours it took to make this is unimaginable. The greasy yellow beads inside the cross' s appear to be one cut faceted, those beads have been available from France since the end of the 1800's. I can't date it with certainty, probably made for the tourist trade during the poor years.
