Two Vintage Native American Purses

  
Two 20th-century handcrafted Native American purses with decorative beadwork. The purses measure 5 1/2" x 4" x 3" and 5" x 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" (the purse with "1911" on cover) and are both fitted with a removable cover. The "1911" purse has additional bead strands affixed to bottom and top, and the cover is sewn into one side of the top (the other top is not attached). Both purses are in good condition with minor wear. The "1911" purse shows loss of red/blue/pink fabric along the sides and the top, and is likely missing a few beads (including, at least, one broken bottom strand). The second purse shows some staining (visible from interior) and is also likely missing beads.
