Circa 1900 Iroquois beadwork "whimsy" finished in the shape of a fringed boot. Seed beads and bugle beads are worked over paper cutouts and a lightweight coral wool fabric. Metal spangles accent the beads.
The fabric is a slightly duller shade than it appears in the photos. The boot measures about 8? The fabric is mounted over cardboard, creating a stiff framework. The back is covered with a polished cotton fabric. Condition is very good; the beadwork is in excellent condition with no missing beads.
There are numerous small moth holes in the wool fabric but overall it is very sturdy.
